BACHELOR OF NURSING SCIENCE PROGRAMME

Applications are invited from interested men and women wishing to undertake the Fiji Nursing Council approved and Fiji Higher Education Commission accredited Bachelor of Nursing Science Programme at the Sangam Institute Technology – College of Nursing and Health Care Education, Labasa.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

A pass in the Fiji Year 13 examination with a minimum aggregate score of 250 out of 400.
A pass in English and Biology, and any 2 Science subjects from the following list:
Mathematics
Chemistry
Physics
Home Economics
Agricultural Science
A minimum GPA of 3.0 from USP, FNU or UniFiji in the full Foundation Science (8 units) with a mandatory pass in English and Biology with another science subject, preferably Chemistry.

Consideration may be given to those applicants who have successfully completed relevant foundation units to bridge any of the failed subjects listed in #2 above from USP, FNU or UniFiji, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, BUT MUST have scored 250 marks or above in the Year 13 examinations.
Applicants must be between the age of 18 to 35 years of age and be medically fit.

COLLEGE OF NURSING AND HEALTH CARE EDUCATION

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA OF NURSE PRACTITIONER PROGRAM – 2020

Applications are invited from interested young men and women wishing to undertake the Fiji Nursing Council approved 18-month Postgraduate Diploma in Nurse Practitioner program, as a private self-paying student, at the Sangam Institute of Technology – College of Nursing and Health Care Education, Labasa.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a current Fiji registered nurse with a current practicing license 2. Have a minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience 3. Be medically and physically fit 4. Be between 25 – 45 years of age at the time of application 5. Find own accommodation in Labasa 6. Regional students who wish to undertake this program must meet the entry requirements as stipulated in items #1 – #4, be able to pay the required fees and must be able to find own accommodation in Labasa.
Applications must be accompanied with the following documents:

1. A recent passport size photo 2. An original copy of birth certificate 3. Certified copies of academic transcripts 4. A recent reference from your employer

SANGAM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

COLLEGE OF NURSING AND HEALTH CARE EDUCATION

 NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN AGED CARE AND COMMUNITY CARE

 Applications are invited from interested candidates wishing to undertake the NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN AGED CARE AND COMMUNITY CARE, which is a Level 3 qualification under the FQF, at the Sangam Institute of Technology – College of Nursing and Health Care Education, Labasa.

Applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Successfully completed a minimum of Year 12
  2. Mature students who have had some experience nursing elderly clients in the family or in the community
  3. Successful candidates will be required to obtain police clearance and undergo a medical examination
  4. Successfully achieve a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test

Applications must be accompanied with the following documents:

  • A recent passport size photo.
  • A certified copy of birth certificate
  • Certified copies of academic transcripts.
  • A recent reference from the employer, if any.

Application forms should reach the College no later than 18th December 2020. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and attempt the LLN Test in Labasa. Offer letters will be sent to successful candidates who will be notified through telephone and email. The program will commence with a minimum of 20 candidates.

This program is a National Qualification accredited by the Fiji Higher Education Commission and financial support for this program can be obtained from FNPF if required.
