POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MIDWIFERY

The Post Graduate Diploma in Midwifery course is a one-year program that allows registered nurses with an interest in caring for Pregnant mothers and newborns to further enhance their skills and knowledge and at the same time acquire a formal qualification to become a registered licensed midwife.

Post Graduate Diploma in Midwifery is a one-year program consisting of both classroom and clinical based learning. Qualification and other requirements Applicant should have the following eligibility criteria:
1. Nurse with at least 6 years post Internship experience, and at least 3 years of continuous experience in an obstetric Unit with an interest in pursuing midwifery as their specialty.


2. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

3. No performance or disciplinary issues.

4. Ability to support own accommodation if required.

Expressions of interest are invited from offers who meet the criteria set out in above 4. Applicants are to submit their interest electronically.

All expressions must be addressed to the Permanent Secretary and must be endorsed by your supervisors and HOD’s. EOI’s and other required documents must reach the Learning and Workforce Development Unit by the closing date.
