The Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education invites qualified individuals to apply for the following four (3) positions, which are all based in Labasa.
1. ASSISTANT LECTURER: DEPARTMENT OF NURSING KNOWLEDGE & MENTAL HEALTH
The main purpose of this position is to teach the Nursing Knowledge course, and an extensive experience in Midwifery is highly desirable. In addition, the incumbent will be required to conduct tutorials, supervise students in the clinical areas when required, take part in the various academic obligations, and undertake any other duties assigned by the Director from time to time

- ASSISTANT LECTURER: DEPARTMENT OF PERSONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH
The main purpose of this position is to teach the Personal & Professional Development course and an extensive experience in Research is highly desirable. In addition, the incumbent will be required to conduct tutorials, supervise students in the clinical areas when required, take part in the various academic obligations and undertake any other duties assigned by the Director from time to time.
- CLINICAL TUTOR (2 positions)
The main purpose of this position is to supervise student nurses in the clinical settings. It involves teaching, coaching & counselling, demonstrating and coordinating student nurses in integrating knowledge and skills on how they relate theory into practice.
Minimum qualifications required for the above positions:
Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) and a Postgraduate qualification in a relevant nursing field is desirable, for Clinical Tutor positions, and BNS and postgraduate qualifications, preferably at Masters level, is desirable for the Assistant Lecturer positions. with demonstrated compliance in the following:
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ full time professional nursing clinical experience.
- A teaching certificate or evidence of teaching experience is desirable.
- Hold a current license and good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Fiji, or be eligible to obtain a Fiji Registered Nurse license.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
Remuneration:
Salary range: $30,000 – $40,000 [Assistant Lecturer]
: $28,000 – $38,000 [Clinical Tutor]
An attractive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on qualifications and experience.
